Initiatives

Abelium's roots stem from a mathematical and research background. Recognizing the importance of strong foundations in knowledge, analytical thinking, and connection with academia, we reinvest a portion of our revenue back into our primary environment.

We invest in young talent and the supporting infrastructure – from faculties and student clubs to camps, competitions, and hackathons – that discovers and nurtures these talents. Through mentorship, sponsorships, and the transfer of practical knowledge, we open doors for young people to gain hands-on experience on real projects.

    Abelium Summer Jam 2026 – AI Group

    In July 2026 we ran Abelium Summer Jam – AI Group, a five-day program in which eleven young people aged 15 to 19 took an idea to a working web application on a public URL using Claude. Half of them had never created anything with AI and four had never programmed at all – by Friday all three teams had shipped. We designed and mentored the program, and built its scoring platform with Claude Code.

    We proudly support the FMF Programming Club in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 academic years, where students develop practical project experience and deepen their programming skills. In that way we encourage young talent in organizing technical workshops, developing projects, and connecting with industry.

    We support the University Programming Marathon (UPM), the main Slovenian contest in solving challenging algorithmic and programming problems for university students. The competition promotes teamwork and analytical thinking, offering top teams a path to the international ICPC CERC contest.

    In cooperation with the Society of Mathematicians, Physicists and Astronomers of Slovenia (DMFA), we support educational and research projects for youth such as the MaRS camp. Our financial support and cooperation of our experts allows students to explore advanced mathematics with top mentors and industry experts.

    As a silver sponsor of the AdaHack hackathon in collaboration with Ada Club, we issued the challenge 'AI-Powered Learning Assistant for the Visually Impaired'. Through intensive mentoring and a business model workshop, we guided teams to the winning solution, NoteVoice.
